SICB “Hunt with a Heart 2014 – Community and You: Educating Young Women to Lead”
SI Club of Bangsar organized the annual Charity Motor Treasure Hunt 2014 with the theme “Community and You: Educating Women to Lead” project. The proceeds of this Hunt will be used to cultivate the spirit of volunteerism in young women to contribute their time and expertise to community service; and develop leadership qualities in young women to initiate and lead community projects in line with our SI goals.
On a bright sunny day (Saturday) of 1st November, we had about 30 cars lined in a row ready to drive off for a good cause, while having fun with their families and friends. Our co-partner, ETIQA Insurance & Takaful and other sponsors of the event donated the items in the goody bag for all participants. The flag off was at 9am by the CEOs of Etiqa and our SICB President Dr Chang as well as Joanne Yeoh, the National Representative of Malaysia after a briefing session. The hunting of treasures took about 5 hours before arriving at the destination. We had two categories – open and closed. The open category was opened to all participants and the closed category was only for SI members and their children below 20 years of age.
All participants were treated with Hi Tea and lucky draws while waiting for their results.
It was a fun fulfilling day for us with our objective met.
