Hello and welcome to this website of Soroptimist International Club of Bangsar (SICB).
I took position as the President for 2016-2017 on 18th February 2016 with great pride and I am comforted with the thought that I will have each and every one of your support in helping me maintain my position and achieve the successes that we plan together. You have all entrusted me with this position and I shall do my best to maintain the dignity and pride of this Club.
I am proud to be working with all of you who are from different backgrounds, expertise and experience, whose high level of commitment camaraderie and energy have made what SICB is today – a very active creditable and credible Club. Our Club carries with it an international recognition and we take pride in saying that we are a member of this esteemed organization.
In the pipeline for this year, a number of interesting and exciting potential projects are in the draft, such like, Vertical Farming, Cancer Awareness and Cancer Prevention, Community & You and if possible a mammoth ‘fund’ event too. All these are possible if our desire and conviction is united and strong. Of course, having said the above, there will also be the fun part of sisterhood bonding which include travelling, be it in or out of town and the chitty chatty, fun and laughter.
I guess with lots of ideas bustling in my head, I sincerely hope that the year ahead would be pleasant, enjoyable and successful in every way possible.
We welcome new members to enhance our diverse group and contribute ideas, expertise, time and energy to be a part of the Soroptimist International team to inspire action and create opportunities to transform the lives of women and girls. Soroptimist International is a Global Voice for Women working through AWARENESS, ADVOCACY and ACTION.

“A meaningful life is not being rich, being popular, being highly educated or being perfect .. It is about being real, being humble, being able to share ourselves and touch the lives of others. It is only then that we could have a full, happy and contended life.” (Unknown)
