Personal Safety for Children workshop at Sekolah Rendah Sathya Sai was conducted on 28th July by SICB members, Sim Chan, Dr. Inthirani and Chai Kee, assisted by Helena, Suat Pheng and ladies from Sai Baba led by Doreen Ong. 68 children from standard 1 and 2 attended. Our sincere thanks to the Principal and teachers of the school.
Soroptimist International Club of Bangsar Project TOT Nepal (6th-11th July 2016). Creativity workshop was conducted on the 29th May 2016 at Sivananda Home, Batu Caves. 100 uses of a paper clip, protect the egg with recycled materials and mind mapping session were carried out. Jom Sihat Campaign at Suria Bangsar South with UOA and Life Care was conducted on Sunday, 15th May 2016. SICB would like to thank Life Care for the health screening conducted. A very special thanks to Dr. Vinoshinni for giving a talk on Obesity and Diabetes.
Crafting class was conducted on 7th May at Suria Bangsar South among the neighbourhood children. Ring making session was taught by Annie Ong and Tricia Neo along with SICB members’ assistance. From a strand of aluminum wire and pearl, the children made rings for their mothers as gifts for Mother’s Day.
6 Club members and 12 of their family members ventured on this adventurous sky ride – hot air balloon on 1st May 2016 on Workers Day at the Skyrides Festival Park in Putrajaya.
